Meet the Committee

Andrea McAuslan

Andrea McAuslan

Chair

Andrea’s first triathlon was at Ripon Triathlon in 2010 before she then progressed to long distance (those 5ft 3 legs are built for distance not speed!) Having Chaired the Junior Club for 4 years now, she is excited to develop the club further to encourage people from all walks of life to give Triathlon a go, no matter what your starting point.

Martin Clyne

Martin Clyne

Secretary

When not driving the length and breadth of the county taking his kids to Triathlons, Martin has been spotted running a few trails, suffering a climb or two on his bike, or chasing that elusive sub-20min parkrun PB.

Mike Thwaites

Mike Thwaites

Treasurer

Mike has worked in banking and finance for nearly 30 years and is now in the family accountancy business, which is based in Ripon. Never has he completed a triathlon, duathlon but used to run and was a keen cyclist way back when. Mike is here to help crunch the numbers and support the club through the ever challenging landscape of ‘balancing the books’ and is very much looking forward to developing the rebrand and delivering a great club for all the members.

Seb Shepley

Seb Shepley

Welfare Officer

Seb is a keen age group triathlete competing in IM70.3 events and duathlon. Previously a serious runner before taking up triathlon a decade ago. Seb is fairly new to Ripon and keen to help RTC succeed as a club, wishing to encourage all its members to enjoy our sport and camaraderie whilst respecting everyone’s right to participate as they wish in a supportive environment. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible joining in with club activities.

Hannah Kitching

Hannah Kitching

Hannah is a mum to a triathlete in the junior section. Hannah isn’t a triathlete herself, but enjoys running, cycling, and being generally active! She is a physiotherapist by background, and has a passion for promoting equality and sports for all, in a safe and supportive environment.
